Hi
I have a stroke and my speech is not good but my brain cells are about 90% there?!
My Great-Great-Grandfather was Evan Jones, and he was born at Narberth, Pembrokeshire, on 8 May 1825, and he died at the ‘Bush Inn’, Sketty, Swansea, on 25 February 1884. His father was Thomas Jones.
In about 1848 he married Ruth Thomas, Amroth, Pembrokeshire, but I have no information for the marriage of Evan Jones and Ruth Thomas.
Census 1851 in Cross Inn, Swansea [Ref HO 107/2466 ED 20 Piece: 2466 Folio: 656 Schedule: 002], were Evan and Ruth Jones and their two children, Thomas (c1849) and Catherine (c1850):
Jones, Evan 27(c1824) Publican Templeton, Narberth, Pembroke
Jones, Ruth 29(c1822) Amroth, Pembroke
Jones, Thomas 2(c1849) Sketty, Swansea
Catherine, Jones 6M(c1850) Sketty, Swansea
Copy of the Birth Certificate of Catherine Jones said that the mother was Ruth Jones, formerly Thomas.
IGI Individual Record [www.familysearch]:

Parents: Father: Thomas
Thomas
Mother: Catherine
OR
Ruth Thomas Christening: 10 April 1820, Amroth, Pembroke

Can you get the 1841 Census to see if (a) Evan Jones and (b) Ruth Thomas were there??!!
Thank you for your patience.
Dr Robert Wilkins
