Matthew Hixon
Born:  probably between 1820 and 1850, Dublin
Married:  to Ann Ruth Hughes
Occupation:  Bottle Blower

Hello earthshaker,

The extracts of Griffith's Valuation of Ireland show no one with the surname Hixon in Dublin. The Valuation took place in Ireland between 1848-64 and the Dublin Valuation took place between 1848-51. It could be a lengthy search as a more specific location than Dublin is required. The name of the parish would make matters easier. How do you know Matthew was born in Dublin? Maybe his parents moved to Dublin from one of the areas listed ... Kildare, Limerick, Meath and Westmeath.  That's assuming he was born after 1848.
