Perhaps the father died and the mother remarried ?
Do you know Thomas's parents names ?

no i dont know his parents names, thats what i was trying to find out along with his brothers and sisters.
I have a possible brother :
George b 1834, Walkeringham
and theres a
James born 1833 but hes born in everton so possibly not him

do you have access to 1851 census?? if so and you dont mind looking.........
...............can you see them on there?

I have had a quick look on the 1851 but the quality wasn't very good on the one i was looking at, but will check it on my census discs when i get home this evening.
He more than likely will not be living at home in the 1851 so he may well be hard to find

You'll like this one ... a nice variation of the name

The Renshaws were the grand parents as suspected

Hannah Renshaw married Richard Grime 26 Sep 1832 Walkeringham

George Grimes 9 Jun 1833 Walkeringham to Richard Grimes and Hannah

also, to the same parents
Thomas Grime 27 Jul 1834
Elizabeth Grime 14 Jul 1837
William Grime 30 Sep 1838

You can view these yourself on the IGI at familysearch.org (I just pulled out the children who were listed on the 1841 given you)
