Hi Vivien,

You might have to give a little more info before anyone can attempt a look-up. :)

sorry my mistake. I wasn't finished typing, my fingers slipped on the keys and my message disappeared. I wasn't really expecting it to show up here.  I thought I would have to try again - well I guess I am.

So here's my second try and I am typing very slowly My look up is for David Edwards born 1851 in Dowlais.

In 1881 he is living with his widowed mother Jane on Tonna Road in Llantwit Lower, Glamorgan.

Thanks.

Yes, thank you so much, Seren. It certainly looks like him. He did have a brother  William who would have been 46 in 1891.

I am surprised at how late some of the men married back then.    I wasn't expecting him to be married if he was living with his mom at 32.

So not only did you find David but also William and Jane.  Thanks.
Your help is much appreciated.

Your welcome, Vivien...hope it's the right one!

Jane wasn't difficult to find, she's in the 1851/61/71/81/91 Wales census.

Hi Seren
I haven't researched this side of the family enough to know if there are any other families with similiar names and dates but from what I have seen this does seem to be the right family.  I do have Jane in previous censuses but wasn't sure if she would still be around at age 73 so thought it would be safer to ask for her son. Thanks so much for your help.
