Lookup 1851 census Topham Charles. Please

Searching for Charles Topham born around 1832 to 36 Leicester Leicestershire England. I have him on the 1881 Census, but this was a second marriage. hoping to find hin in 1851 and his first wife or even in 1861. also searching for his birth. On the 1891 census he said he was born in Belgrave Leicestershire. If anyone can help i would really appericate it. Thanks L.C Australia

Sorry. . . NO "Topham's" found on the 1851. Census for the City of Leicester.

And there is only one on the 1861. Census.

50. Cobden Street, Leicester.
( Which could be classed as Belgrave at a pinch  )

ANNABELLA TOPHAM Un Married. Aged 60.
Born in Newport Shropshire.

My 1841. Census has not got a search programme
So it's a trawl through "Page after Page."

Thanks Mike, I thought I would give you a little more info on charles and family. I have been searching for charles's birth for about 2 years now and also his parents. this is what i know.
This is from the 1881 census.
Charles Topham b Leicester Leicestershire 1836
Annie/Ann (sutton) b Brighton Sussex 1847.
Frederick son b 1871 London middlesex
Snowdon son b 1873 London middlesex
Sarah daughter b 1876 London middlesex
Annie daughter b 1880 London middlesex. &
Eliza Elizabeth b 1881 London middlesex after census was taken found her on the 1891 census. their ages vary each census and Charles's birth place says belgrave Leicestershire on the 91 census and Ann his wife  says Cuckfield sussex.   But mystries of mystries we found that Charles Topham and Ann never married untill all their children were grown. They married in brighton sussex in 1896. he was 64 and a widower it says on the cert, Ann was 50 on the cert, yet i found her birth in 1844. and got her  cert. So seems he was not free to marry Ann Sutton in 1870 when their first child was born yet called herself his wife and ann topham on all childrens birth certs. So now i'm left wondering if good old charles had a wife and family before Ann and Children. He could have been born anywhere from 1829 to 1836? big gap. Sorry I forgot to say that Charles Topham Fathers name is Jeremiah Topham. I have no idea when & where he was born. I would be only guessing (I thought his mother was Anne topham But I think I got that one wrong). Cheers Linda.

Hi mike, Charles Topham and his parents are proving an elusive bunch, I can't even brig a Jeremiah Topham up on anything except in Derby and I think Leicester and Derby are long distances apart, especially as they didn't move very far in those days. Hi Mike I guess when you think of it that way its not far apart is it, as I'm an Ozzie I'm not up with how far apart these counties are so may be its possable after all here's what we found. what do you think?
