Shields/Shiells/Sheils - Dalry

Help required please regarding the above. Frederick Shields married Rose McIntyre at Houston and Killellan in June 1852, and there is evidence of her family in that area.

Information suggests he was from Dalry, Ayrshire and any thoughts on that would be gratefully received
Devon - Day (Appledore), Vyvyan + Hill (Plymouth)
Somerset - Yard (Ashcott etc) Walters (High Littleton)
Worcestershire etc - Caldicott (Alcester + Inkberrow)
Scotland - McShiells/Shields/McIntyre (Dalry)
Most of these ended up in Cardiff during 19thC
