SCULCOATES PARISH RECORDS
« on: Sunday 29 January 06 18:42 GMT (UK) »
I am hoping that someone may be able to help me with the search for a marriage entry that occured in Sculcoates (All Saints Church).  The event took place on the 28/11/1829 between a Joseph Ridsdale and Mary Chatterton.

The information that I am hoping to discover is the parents of Joseph.  Any other informaion on this entry would be appreciated.  Hope that someone can help me.

Thanks

While I might be able to find the record, I'm afraid it's very unlikely to tell you who Joseph's parents were.  The record is on the IGI, and that's all you'll find on the original.  In the 1814/15 Directory for Hull there's a Stephen Ridsdale, miller, on Anlaby Road.  It might be worth pursuing him as a possible father, since it's an uncommon name.
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

Thanks

Dear Calvert,
It looks possible that Koseph Rysdale/Ridsdale may have lived in Brantingham so when i have a minute i will check out the Parish records for you,
