Hi Jim, again. :D

Thankyou for your personal reply..
I am not related, just had a few hours free, for a my favourite pass time.... :)

Have you joined Scotlandspeople yet?

What you should do is buy the 1861c for Ann Christie/Roy, she should be about 62yrs, (to find out what town she is from) and also buy her Death in 1879, this will give her parents names, if known....(she is not coming up as an obvious choice on the IGI).
As for her husband, because,he died 1842, there is no Death certificate, and according to the 1841 census he was born in another county, and his age is 50yrs, I think, the Monumental Inscription, saying he was 42yrs, maybe an error, for in the 1841 c he says he was 50yrs.... I doubt if he would put his age up 10 yrs....
Anyway, once again, if you have any further questions, just ask...
regards,
Jo ;)

Hi Jimmy,
When your ready, you can click on this link to Scotlandspeople, and then you can buy and view immediately, your Census and Birth Marriages and Deaths, online.. they cost 1 credit for a search result of up to 25 index results, and then a further 5 credits, to view the certificate..... cost in Aus$ is $3 for the 6 credits....it will all make more sense once you start buying.....

Hi Jim Roy,

I just found your post after Googling Ann Roy, 1852.

I’m descended from Maggie Jane Roy (1880), daughter of William Roy (1861).

Maggie married Arthur William Cain in Hebburn, England. Among there children was my grandfather John White Cain (1909-1990) whose daughter Dorothy Mary Cain was my mother. Attached is the only photo I know of Maggie Jane Roy
