Researching your family history has never been easier or more popular, with access to many records available on line.
But what if you reach a blockage in your ancestoral detective work? Or if you've been inspired by the BBC2 series, Who Do You Think You Are?, but don't know how to start?
BBC London is coming to your aid with a special day designed just for Londoners who want to trace their personal heritage.
The BBC London Family History Day will take place at the British Library in Euston Road on Sunday 12th February.
All the activities on offer are free and we've designed a day, between 11am and 5pm, which caters for all ages. But beware, we have limited places, so tickets must be booked in advance.
