The only Joseph Beddows(Beddoes) 0n 1851/61/71 has wife Mary Ann.
Just out of interest were Joseph And Elizabeth related as they both share the same surname.Jim

My nan (Rose Harrison) had a sister May and was always talking about "the Beddowses".  Did May have sisters Harriet and Sarah too?  Joe Beddows definitely rings a bell.  They were all from around Summer Lane/Aston/Perry Barr. They are all buried at Witton. My dad has had a call from someone researching the Harrisons who is coming to visit him shortly.

Hi Angie,

It think it would assist in the look-up of the pre-1881 Censuses if you could post the details from the 1881 Census which you say you have.  This will ensure that the correct family is found and the entries extracted.  The information on ages, places of birth, jobs etc. would prove invaluable.

I'd be happy to assist given this additional information.

regards,

Just spoken to my dad - May Beddows (nee Harrison) was my great aunt.  Her mother is buried at Witton as we used to go to put flowers when nan was alive.  Joe and May are buried just behind my nan and grandad. Have you been tracing the Harrison side too? I've tried to but had trouble because it is such a common name.
