Hi. I found these mails while I was looking for help to untangle all the information I have been collecting on the Penfold and Orchard families ready for the R&TFHS open day on 14th October. If anyone is in Exeter that Saturday, do come along. It is at the Devon Record Office at Sowton from 10.30 to 4. There is plenty of free parking outside. A map showing how to find the DRO is on its web site or give me a ring 9-5 on Exeter 384253.
There will be films, displays of family info, a bookstall and live music and the computers will be available to search census returns. Other sources I have found useful are the DFHS indexes to Plymouth marriages (I found three Buckland/Penfold marriages there) and the DFHS Small Projects Group indexes to pedlars certificates.
Thanks for reading this. I am so excited about the open day and I hope someone comes to it apart from me  ::)

Have you had an e-mail from the Devon Records Office? That is where it's all happening!
I thought it was at the Local Studies Library.
You can get directions on their web site.
Don't go into Exeter.

Web site will give you all directions.

Hope I will be able to get there, Should find you by the photo!
If not there have a lovely day
Glen
