hi pal,

had a wee look at your post and came up with this, you may already have it...but you never know!!

james married ann taylor on the 16/3/1776, dunnottar.

looks like ann was born 26/7/1749, dunnottar, (dau of james)

i reckon your james is born around 1745, (son of james and isabel bleber)

here is what i know for sure(all extracted)

the freeman children:

jane...christened...19/5/1778
elspet...christened...2/12/1781
mary...christened...7/4/1783
isabel...christened...13/2/1785
joseph...christened...14/2/1791

all christened kinneff & catterline kincardine

your joseph from the above family went onto marry sarah collie

there is a submitted marriage for them...11/2/1810..kinneff

the freeman children from this marriage:

isabel...christened...15/10/1815...glenbervie
sarah...13/9/1818...dunnottar
margaret...29/9/1819...dunottar
elizabeth...6/11/1821...dunnottar
joseph...21/4/1823...dunnottar

1841 census- upper birnie, benholm, kincardine

joseph...age 50...linen hand loom weaver
sarah...age 50
isabel...age 25
joseph...age 15

i hope some kind soul will follow up this family on the 1851-1861 and that your joseph makes it past 1855!!

always searching

Joe
