There is this extracted record on the IGI, although 1872 is too late for the marriage you're seeking?? Might be useful anyway

William George Childrens CHEESMAN married Rose Hannah KING 14th Feb 1872
at Saint Nicholas', Brighton.

Could you give a rough estimate of when marriage may have taken place and where?

There is NO William Cheeseman (or variant) marrying a Rose at any time in Sussex prior to 1837
