I have another Wheeler request. Can you locate a Mary or Mary Ann Wheeler in the 1841 census. She is my direct ancestor from this family and would have been about 16 years old at the time of the census. She may have been employed as a servant for another family. Thanks Jasmine 21

There is this Mary in Ashton Keynes but as she lists as born outside county I ignored it earlier...There are other Mary/Maria Wheelers 15-17 in other parts of Wiltshire. None are actually Mary Ann

Thanks for checking. That is probably not my Mary as I know she was born in Leigh. It is possible she was elsewhere in Wiltshire (possibly in Great Somerford/Seagry Heath area as that is where her husband was from) or perhaps just over the border in Gloustershire with her oldest brother Emanuel who would have been married about that time.
