Hi mike, well on the igi it is written BRANSTON, so I am not sure now lol, well there is no census for this. I am looking into the year 1760-1780

WILLIAM DARBY b abt 1740, married MARY BEAN the 4 dec, 1760 branston, leics.

CHILDREN:

JOHN DARBY  c 5 jan, 1764
JAMES DARBY c 23 april, 1769
JOSEPH DERBY c 20 aug, 1772
ELIZABETH DARBY c may,1774

I am wondering if WILLIAM was b in barrow upon soar or branston.and if there is any relation between the DARBY's  from barrow and branston .

which is in the North East corner of the County
near to Belvoir Castle

Let me have a whiz through my other disks and see
what develops ...
But  I think it will be a question of trawling through Parish Registers
seeing the early dates

WILLIAM DARBY married MARY BEAN (licence) the 4 dec, 1760

children:

1.JOHN DARBY c 5 jan, 1764 branston
2.THOMAS DARBY c  4 may 1766
3.JAMES DARBY c 23 april, 1769, died 27 sept, 1780
4.JOSEPH DARBY  c 20 aug, 1772, buried  30 jan, 1773
5.ELIZABETH DARBY c 15 may, 1774,buried 22 jan, 1782

William I have buried the 19 march 1788 (PAUPER)

I would like to know who THOMAS DARBY married and  where WILLIAM DARBY (father) was born  if its possible. thank you
