Is there anyone out there who could check the Dublin birth records for twins, Florence Lily Watts and Arthur Thomas Watts. The IGI records state that they were born on 20 Feb 1882 in Dublin, children of Robert Watts and Elizabeth O'Connell.
Elizabeth was previously married (in 1864 at the age of 15) to James Magee RHA in Secunderabad, India and their only child was Annie born 1868. James died or was killed and I always thought this must be around the time of Annie's birth.
On the IGI Annie is described as Annie Watts, daughter of Robert Watts and Elizabeth O'Connell instead of Annie Magee, daughter of Elizabeth O'Connell and James Magee. On the IGI and 1891 census she appears to have an older sister Teresa Jane Watts. This cannot be acurate because on Annie's marriage certificate she definitely gives her father as James Magee.
Teresa Jane Watts's parents are given on the IGI as Robert Watts and Elizabeth O'Connell. There are also several other children, including the twins mentioned above. Some children were born in India, some in Dublin (where Robert was "de-mobbed") and some in Woolwich.
I am completely baffled and would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions.
