1841 Onwards - LOVICK - Hopton

Hi all

Have been tracing a branch of my family, Lovick, back to Riddlesworth in Norfolk, although IGI records suggest they came from Hopton in Suffolk, only a couple of miles away in about 1800. Just wondered if there were any Lovicks in Hopton 1841 onwards?

Just have to start looking somewhere else then, IGI has many shown around Ixworth a bit to the south, so that may be a possiblity for the future.

I shall have to think about these as it was only yesterday I traced the line back to suffolk. I would think these may well be related to mine, but how I dont know as in 1841 my Robert Lovick, who I believe was born in Hopton, suffolk, in 1783, was living in Riddlesworth, just over the Little Ouse, in Norfolk. But rest assured if I need to know more I will be in touch.

At least that rules that bit out, Just another job for parish registers lookup as and when I've got time. It gets difficult and even more frustrating when you try to go beyond 1837 doesnt it.

if you want to know about any other lovick families in suffolk just yell there are a couple in other areas

Please do you know the maiden name of Hannah, John Lovick's wife, as I think my great great grandfather, James Hammond, was living with them in 1861. It is the 'L' as a middle name that is making me have doubts, therefore Hannah's maiden name may solve the query.
