I also would be interested in old photos of Hill of Beath.  I have Traynor and Sawers ancestors from there.
Can the pictures be attached to this website?  I am not sure how this works.

Chancellor Gordon Brown and a host of sporting stars have gathered in Fife to unveil a statue commemorating Scottish football legend Jim Baxter.
The specially-commissioned life-sized statue and memorial garden to the former Raith Rovers and Rangers player was unveiled in his hometown of Hill o' Beath.
Baxter died at his home in Glasgow on 14 April, 2001, after being diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of February

Thank you, Norrie.  Where would I find the pictures, please?  These names are likely tied into the family and I will follow-up.

Evelina, I would appreciate any photos of the old mining housing.  We had relatives living at 1 The Square, Hill of Beath.  Also, I was sent an old map if Hill of Beath from 1901, showing the mining housing, that people might find interesting.  I have attached it and a page on the housing conditions.

Hi MarilynR, sorry I do not have any old pics only up to date ones.  My relatives lived in Hill of Beath in 1891, unfortunatley the census only says No22 so do not know which row.  They were the Cummings and by 1901 they had moved to Kingseat.  Possibly the Laings also lived in H O B at some point as my Granmother  (a Laing) said the family lived there.  However she might have meant Mary Cumming as she was my gran's aunt and originally a Laing.

if i am reading your map correctly they is nothing on the ground now where the Square used to be.

Cheers Evelina
