help with photo please

Can anyone help make this photo any clearer?I think it has water damage and its the only one of my gran and mother I have .

              Another quickie.It is best in these photo's
to crop the damaged part off, if no detail exists.From what I could
see it did not add anything to the photo any way.
Will try to do a better job if time allows.

Hi Carol,

I am struggling with this photo - any chance of cropping the picture and then scanning it at a higher resolution?
You can post images up to 300kb on here - and if it has been cropped it will be a lot clearer and easier for us to get better results.

       Thanks for the advice.I've had a bit of trouble scanning this photo, keeps coming out to big.
