1861/1871 Censuses - George Gibson - COMPLETED WITH MANY THANKS TO BEE.
« on: Thursday 16 February 06 01:04 GMT (UK) »
Looking for George and Ellen Gibson on 1861 and 1871 censuses.  They would be aged 55 (1861) and 65 (1871); George was born in Hedon and Ellen Gainsborough.  On 1851 census their youngest child is Fanny aged 2.  There was also John 10 and William 12.  I don't know if there were any more children after Fanny hence enquiry re censuses.  They were all living in Hedon on 1851 census.  Any help would be appreciated.

With many thanks.

Zephyr

Hello Bee

Thank you very much for census info.  You have solved one mystery for me - John the Grandson.  He was at home on 1881 census, which threw me as he was not mentioned on 1871 - now I know why.  You have also caused a mystery.  I fully expected William Gibson to be at home on 1861 as he didn't get married until July 1861.  Will put another request on the board for his whereabouts on 1861.

Many many thanks for all your trouble.

Best wishes.
