Just to let you know that the marriage of Edward PINDER and Sarah PALIAN/PAILIN (perhaps the one bap 1796 Long Sutton) took place at Horbling 25 July 1813 and not at Gainsborough (which some IGI entries suggest).

BIVRI2 (British Isles Vital Records Index, 2nd Edition) is a set of disks sold by LDS which has lots of baptisms and marriages

http://www.genoot.com/downloads/BVRI2/

George has parents with the same names as those of Edward's parents.  He was baptised a couple of years after Edward was, in the same church.  It's not unreasonable to suspect that they were brothers.

Geoff E ,
thanks to you , I have been trawling through the IGI, and found all the children with parents called Geo and Ann Pinder/Pindar, for Gainsborough, so it looks like there could have been a Charlotte Pindar christened 16th July 1787, died 6th Sept 1787.   and a marriage of George Pinder to Ann Eggleston Gainsborough march 1787,    more investigating to be done, but thankyou for putting me in the right direction.  Eilleen.

Hi Eilleen - glad you think you might be getting somewhere!

There were several aged PINDERs buried in Gainsborough in the 1830s and 40s.  One of interest to you may be Anne, 7 March 1842 age 73 ... I think that may help finding her baptism. ;)  You may also find a George PINDER a couple of years older who is worthy of consideration.

I'm very good at joining up other people's dots!  :D
