Geoff E , or any helpful soul,  Geoff found Sarah Pinder ( PINDAR ) on the 1841 census , I see that she has a lady of 73 yrs living with her called Ann,  I was wondering if this Ann was a Pinder or a Green ( Sarah's maiden name )  if Ann is a Pindar, then I have totally got the wrong mother for Sarah's husband,    hope that all make's sense.   from Eilleen.

Not necessarily her mother in law though - it could be an aunt etc.
if Ann is a Pindar, then I have totally got the wrong mother for Sarah's husband
Desperately seeking:
Martha Ann Keily - Limerick/Woolwich mid 1800s
Mary Jane Hawkins - Bridgwater c.1835
George Gulson - Warmfield or Mansfield 1790s

Thankyou for the quick replies, I have been so busy begging look ups for someone else, my brain has been scrabbled and for the last few weeks I  have felt like I belonged to a totally different ancestor line,   but now I am going to put all my effort's and brain cells and powers of persuasion :) into building my much yearned for branch of Pindar's ( Grandma's maiden name )  so please be there for me.   returning shortly  ;D ;D   Eilleen.

Sarah PINDER (of Long Sutton) was the widow of Edward PINDER - they had a son Edward in 1821 who appears in 1841 and 1851 censuses with Sarah.

Edward was buried 18 April 1825 aged 36
Sarah was buried 31 March 1876 age 80

I would imagine that Edward was the son of George and Ann, bap Gainsborough 17 Sept 1788 .... in which case, Ann could well be the mother in law of Sarah.
