1841 census - norris or pope
« on: Saturday 18 February 06 19:20 GMT (UK) »
I'd be grateful for an entry for William Norris or Eliza Pope in the 1841 census for Kent - probably they lived in Canterbury.
Eliza was born in Canterbury Kent abt 1806, and William in Ashford Kent abt 1796.
By the 1851 census they were married, but Eliza had existing children with surname Pope, so I assume she was widowed or divorced, then married William.

Thanks a lot Sue - yes that does help, especially that he was in the horse trade. Sorry I've been so long replying - exciting trip to India to research another branch of the family ;D

Cheers,
Yvonne
