Jean White (nee Owen)of Kirkcudbright
« on: Sunday 19 February 06 07:22 GMT (UK) »
Evening all,
Jean Owen married Thomas White approx 1824.  In the
1841 Census she was listed as Schoolmistress in Kirkcudbright.  In subsequent Census her occupation was listed as small grocer then 1861 as Huckster.

Has anyone come across Jean Owen or her sister Jane, born
to parents David Owens and mother Agnes McKennay ?
David Owen died 1801 and is buried with his father in law Alex McKennay in Kirkcudbright cemetery.

Regards -
