Peascod of Lodsworth
« on: Sunday 19 February 06 19:20 GMT (UK) »
My ancestor John Peascod was christened in Lodsworth in 1707.He was the son of William Pescod and Mary(Gosden).I believe he married about 1731. Does anyone have any information about his marriage and maybe date of death. It is possible that there were  three children of the marriage, namely Thomas, John and Henry.

Any information would be greatly appreciated

Hi Mimmi - this from Sussex Marriage Index.

4th Feb 1723/4
Mary Gosden to John Pennicot at Terwick, West Sussex.
no further information

I know Terwick is near Lodsworth, about 5 miles as the crow flies.

The closest John Pescod marriage was to an Elizabeth Pryar at Fernhurst on 26th March 1733.
again no further information.

Hi Suey,

Many thanks for this information. It may have some connection  but I'm not sure at this stage. I'll keep it on file for future reference
