Robert BIRKETT/Mary WILKINSON - South Kelsey/Thornton le Moor

I'm looking for any information on Robert BIRKETT and Mary WILKINSON.

Robert and Mary Wilkinson married at South Kelsey on 8th June 1812, and they had two children at Thornton le Moor, Martha bapt. 1813 and Sarah (my direct ancestor) bapt. 1815.

There are a few probable baptisms for Mary on the IGI (Broughton by Brigg, Wrawby and Messingham), but with no age or birthplace and a common surname I can't place her, and I can't see a likely baptism for Robert.

In 1856 a Robert BIRKETT is listed as being a porter on the staff of the Caistor Union Workhouse and I have wondered if this is my Robert?

also found this burial at thornton le moor all saints
mary birkett aged 62yrs buried 19th nov 1854.

Hi alli,

It helps enormously - thank you very much.

I've just had a quick look on the IGI and there is a baptism for Mary Wilkenson on 12th June 1791 at Glentham so I should be able to get that line back a bit further now.

You've also given me a few more children I knew nothing about and an age and birthplace for Robert.
