1871 census look up

I am trying to trace a Richard Smith with his wife Sarah. Richard came from Northumberland born 1800 and wife Sarah came from Cumberland. As she is his second wife I dont know exact date for birth but by 1861 census she was born 1816. He lived all his life in Cockerton but I cant find him in 71 and there are no deaths for him in Cockerton. He was the landlord of the Drovers Inn in Cockerton and also a cattle dealer. I believe he may have moved away from the area.

Hello Lynn,
I know your post is 18 months old, but just in case you haven't found the info yet :
Richard Smith died 9 Nov 1862 in Cockerton.
His first wife Elizabeth nee Hall died in 1844.  Sarah Robinson was his second wife who he married in 1844, I don't think they had any children. She was living in Newcastle as an Inn keeper at the Carlisle Hotel in 1871, and a BoardingHouse keeper in 1881.
