Norfolk Roots
« on: Sunday 26 February 06 15:49 GMT (UK) »
At 75 and living in Oxford, it is time to know more about my estranged roots, help and advice welcomed.

Searching for descendants of the Owen and Fish families who were living in the Claxton and Surlingham villages (Loddon)

William and Jane Fish married abt 1842 in Surlingham, as did Levy and Hannah in Aldeby.

Welcome Rodrick! :)

I hope that you will visit us often and make lots of progress with your research. ;D

To start the ball rolling, I am going to move your post over to the Norfolk board, to see if anyone can help there.

Best Wishes
Rick :)

Thank you to Mick and Annie that was sure a quick response.

I will go visit the sites you suggest Mick and see where this leads.

Annie the town that is shown I presume to be the place of birth? I need to look at a map for I have Toft Monks as the place of birth.

I am going to sign off with my Norfolk name which I will now stick to.

Roddy  :)
