1861 & 1871 Census Lookup - Please- DERBY ST. PETER
« on: Sunday 26 February 06 15:58 GMT (UK) »
Regards All  :)

I am looking for the following family and hope a kind soul will please lend me a hand  :-*

They were found on the 1841 & 1851 Census in DERBY ST. PETER thus I suspect they were still there in 1861 & 1871

Benjamin Thompson born abt 1808
Harriet Thompson wife born abt 1808

Now, I suspect the older children who appeared on the early 1841 Census & 1851 are likely gone but the younger ones are likely still home

George b. abt 1827
John b. abt 1831
Samuel b. abt 1837
Mary b. abt 1841
James b. abt  1846
Frederick b. abt 1851

I suspect James and Frederick were likely still at home on at least the 1861 Census

I so appreciate any help
Thanks to all

Hi
I have also tried every combination, however I think this may be one of the
Children:-
RG9/2499 Folio 49 Sch 46
29 Hope St, Derby (St. Peters)
Thompson Samuel head    1838   born     LECK  (this should be Leek)
    "          Alice       wife     1838               Wirksworth
"        Mary dau   dau      1858               Derby

Long Shot but this  may be John born  abt 1831
RG9/2919 Folio 116   (he is no 17 on sheet
New Baily Prison Salford
His age is transcribed as 53 (1808) however if you look his actual age is 33 and
he was a Silk Weaver.   born Leek.

Good Luck

Thanks Spendlove  :)

I cannot imagine where they all went to but...obviously one can assume they died or they may appear on the censuses with false or incorrect info!!

I appreciate the help
