Can someone help me find someone in '51?
« on: Thursday 02 March 06 10:25 GMT (UK) »
His name is Vincent Bouch, and he was born in Wisbech, Cambs,

I've searched Ancestry.co.uk and found him in all the other census's apart from '51.

I can't seem to find him  ???

Thanks, Paul.

Hallo, Paul

Do you have any other details from other censuses - age, siblings etc that could help?

Regards
Philip

Hi Philip

Found Vincent in 1861 - born Wisbech 1814, wife Mary Ann 42, sons William 11 and Henry 8 - all b Wisbech & in Wisbach St Peter.

Vincent is a fisherman - so he might be at sea in 1851 - but where is the family?

William's birth is recorded correctly in 1849 Mar q Wisbech, so it is not a second marriage.

When/where was Sarah born?

There is a family with a Sarah and a Robert William in 1851 - wife is Sarah Ann though.  Head is a master mariner, but he is absent.  They are in Lincolnshire.

Can you list the children - with birth dates please?

There seems to be a Thomas too?

I wonder if there is a part of the census missing?

;)
