Hello Edmund

Wow...  thank you very much.  It will probably take me days to get my head around all this.  Another Rawson living with the Gibsons.  George Gibson I know about but Hannah the miller ?? and Ann the publican ??  Presumably they could have married Robert the Elder's brothers - lots more research to do on that one as I've not found Robert's birth yet.

Thank you very very much.

With very best wishes.

Hi Edmund

Naw - nowt so easy!

As you've just given me details of that Robert (5) and family, I've yet to go on familysearch to see what I can find.  No, the Robert I have not yet found is the one who married Jane Jewison in 1796 in Hedon.  Problem is, I don't yet know where he came from - a slight problem...

It's the same with his wife, Jane Jewison.  I have found a Jane Jewson on familysearch who was christened in Humbleton but according to censuses Jane was born in Elstronwick - a stone's throw from Humbleton.  It could be that she gained an 'i' along the way and was christened in a different village to the one of her birth.  As I live in Yorkshire, a day out to Beverley archives this Spring is called for combined with a game of golf!!

Many thanks for your help.

With very best wishes.

Janet
