Hello Peter, Could you see if a Matthew Horrocks was baptised in Warrington in about 1832. His father was Peter. I'm afraid that's all I know about him.

Hi Janice

Sorry can not find anything for a Matthew Horrocks, the family do not seem to be in Warrington on the 18411851 census either.
The only record I can find is for a Matthew Horrocks 1832 Wigan father John.

good luck

Thanks for looking Peter. I have a feeling the family had moved to Manchester by 1841. However, would it be possible for you to see if there is any record of a marriage for Peter Horrocks before 1837 (in Warringto).
Also I'm looking for Mary Slater, in Warrington, a widow in 1841 and a Joseph Slater b ca 1798 and Matthew Slater b1812. Finally, and this is a long shot was a Matthew Slater born to Elizabeth in 1832 or thereabouts?
Thank you for your efforts, Janice.

Hi Janice
The only BMD records that I can veiw prior to 1837 for the Warrington area are from ones extracted from the IGI.
In there is a record dated 19/Aug/1832 Matthew Slater mother Elizabeth.

regards
