R.A.S.C WW2
« on: Wednesday 08 March 06 22:02 GMT (UK) »
I would appreciate advice as to what the initials R.HKOK stands for.
William Tyre Ritchie T/95029 was a field ambulance driver with service in North Africa,France and UK.
He was wounded twice.
A Service and Casualty Form under the heading "Unit" has R.HKOK.
As yet we have not been able to determine what this stands for.
It seems he served with several units including 39ST Coy. 18ST(205) Coy.
He enlisted at Glasgow. He lived at Ayr.
Wyatt and Wood of Glossop, Derbyshire. Longstaff of Bishop Auckland,Durham. Harry of St Austell and St Kew,Cornwall. Charters of County Antrim.Knight of Warwickshire.Hendy of Ballyedmonduff.
