Sarah Smart Bromham
« on: Friday 10 March 06 20:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Looking for Sarah Smart she married Joseph Newport (Newpurt) in 1803 in Bromham Wiltshire ,they had a daughter Cicemacelia born 1818, Cecilia born 1804 ,Selina Milicent and a Cecilia Maria.

These names are still passed down the family tree so I am assuming that Sarah's siblings or Mother would have one of these names.

So far I have come to a halt with this one............and idea's please

Steve

Hi Steve,
You've probably got this but anyway...........
20 Oct 1803 Joseph Newport of Heddington married Sarah Smart of Bromham by Banns.

I found 2 possible baptisms for Sarah, with siblings, all in Bromham.   I'll list the baptisms under the parents parents.

1.   Parents Robert and Asnah (Assena or Asnah) Smart.
30 Jun 1771, Mary.   6 Mar 1774, Sarah - she was buried 28 Dec 1775.     17 Mar 1776, Robert.     15 Apr 1781, SARAH.  20 Feb 1785, William.    16 Mar 1788, Rebecca.    14 Dec 1794, Joseph.

2.   Parents James and Sarah Smart (she was buried 9 Jun 1800).
10 Jul 1784, SARAH.   18 Oct 1795, George, William and Ann (a job lot)!

If you have any more info perhaps we can sort them out.
Cheers Dave

They didn't say Steve, no ages were given.   They could have been triplets in light of the family history.   Sometimes the parents "saved up" the children and got them all done at once.
