Peacham in Battle area
« on: Wednesday 15 March 06 05:10 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to locate a baptism record for a John Peacham around 1775.  Other spellings include Pecham, Peecham, Peackam and even Beacham.  He married Elizabeth Crowhurst in Battle, 1800.

I'm also looking for the baptism of Elizabeth Crowhurst, probably born in Battle around 1780.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.   :)

Also, if the family can be found on the 1841 census by anyone, this would be great!

Thanks.

Shaz

Hi Shaz

Have just looked through the 1841 census for Battle and surrounding area - but unfortunately without success I am afraid.

There were no Peacham, Pecham, Peecham, Peackam or even Beacham listed at all.

Sorry

Hi Chris,

Thanks for looking.  I think there may be another spelling variation or they missed the 1841 census because descendants were living in Battle in 1837 . . . unless, of course, they moved (to Hastings) in the intervening 4 years.

Also, John and Elizabeth Peacham may have been deceased by then, but I think it's strange you found no Peachams at all.  Anyway, many thanks for your effort.

Regards,
Shaz

Hi, just joined. Are you related to Joseph Peacham 1857 and William Peacham approx 1854, both sons of Ann Peacham 1829.

Would be great to hear from any body who is researching this line!
