they started off as PARSFIELD when christianed and are probably PASSFIELD or PASFIELD in 1851?

Not 100% sure, but this might be part of the family:

HO107/1781/521/11 - Maidenburgh St, Colchester
Susannah Pasfield  Head  Wid  59  Nurse  b. Colchester
Mary Ann Pasfield  Dau  U  23  Dressmaker  b. Colchester

Charles Pasfield, aged 18, b. Colchester, is a student at St Mark's College, Chelsea.  (HO107/1473/6/4)
