Where's my smiley?

Hi,

I tried adding a smiley to my profile footer using the line:

[img]http://www.uselessgraphics.com/sm117.gif[/img]
It appeared the day I added it, but has not appreared since. I thought I'd followed the instructions on Rootschat correctly, so where have I gone wrong?

Any suggestions welcome.

Was it a smiley from another site? where you cut and pasted a link to get the picture in your footer, like mine?

If so then maybe the site where it is located is down, or maybe they have removed that smiley for some reason.

I tried entering your image link  http://www.uselessgraphics.com/sm117.gif
in the browser address bar and got this reply:

403 Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /sm117.gif on this server.

A case of "look but don't touch"

Thanks for your replies. So I was doing the right thing, but the site wouldn't let me access the image.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to find an alternative.
