Emily Hearn (C1891) - where is she???
« on: Saturday 18 March 06 14:29 GMT (UK) »
I have Emily Hearn's marraige cert (5.10.1912) to Thomas Sidney Lodge in Storrington, sussex, which indicates that her dob was about 1891, and her father's name Henry.

That's it -can't find either of them on the censuses, nor on IGI.  ???

can anyone help me find her and her dad?   :-\
Thanks,
Mark

In the 1901 census there is a Hearn family from Suffolk living in Gainsborough.   Do any of the sibling names mean anything to you?

Henry Hearn (45)
Eliza (46)
Henry son - 28
Rosa daughter 26
Mary 20
george 16
Alfred 12
Lily (not Emily) but maybe a nick name? aged 11
Ernest - 9
Hames 7
John 5
Allan 3
Eliza 1

Thanks njh,

The lily looks like a possibility, especially with dad Henry. Other names don't really mean anything, but as I've found nothing on this line so far  ???  it's no surprise.  I'd best check family search.org and BMD and may need t oget a birth cert to check back.

Thanks for that.  ;) Now fingers crossed it's them.

HI Again,

Just realised ther'sanother link bac kto Emily's family:

It's likely that Emily had a brother William H Hearn (c1896). He married one of Thomas Sidney Lodge's sisters also in Storrington.

Not sure this helps as I can't wind william either.  ::)
