Census Lookup for Cook(e)
« on: Sunday 19 March 06 22:17 GMT (UK) »
I am having trouble finding out anything about my G-G-Grandmother Annie OR Mary Cook(e) who was born in a cottage called The Nutshell in a village just outside Malvern.  She would have been born about 1830/1835 and I believe her Father was Jonathan Cook(e) and her Mother possibly Elizabeth.

She lived in Birmingham at some time as a young woman before moving the Neen Sollars in Shropshire.  She may have married a Thomlinson, Thomas or Cohen who was a surgeon at Birmingham General Hospital, she was divorced and re-married a Danks but when this all happened I have no information.  There is a possibility that she may have returned to Birmingham when she re-married.

Sorry to be so vague but I have little to work on.  Any information I would be very grateful.

I am having trouble finding out anything about my G-G-Grandmother Mary Cook who was born in Malvern-Link, Worcestershire, UK.  She would have been born 1831.

She lived in Birmingham at some time as a young woman before moving the Neen Sollars in Shropshire amongst other places.  Not even sure if she is Cook by birth or Cook by marriage.  She lived with her daughter Sarah and son-in-law James Danks from at least the age of 40.

On Mary's daughters wedding certificate it states that Samuel Cook as Father but I am lead to believe, from very reliable family members, that this is in fact Granddad not Dad.

Sorry to be so vague but I have little to work on.  I would be very grateful for any information.

Sarah Ann Cooke birth reg. Worcester 18 503 - Mar qtr 1851 - this is more than likely your Sarah Ann.  If you send for her birth certificate and put 'only issue if mother's name is Mary Cooke' then should it be the wrong one your fee wll be returned.
