BT Archives, High Holborn - CATLOW
« on: Monday 20 March 06 08:38 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find when my g.grandparents were resident in Dublin,  I have a business card which states they were A and D Catlow, Hot Cake Bakers at 31 Talbot Street, Dublin which gives a telephone number of 119.

They were in Blackburn in 1891 and in Blackpool by 1907.  I have not found them in either the English or Irish census for 1901, nor in Dublin Trade Directories

BT Archives have informed me that they have Southern Ireland telephone directories up to 1916 on microcassettes but it is necessary to attend in person to look at these, which is impossible for me.

The archives are on the 3rd floor at Holborn Telephone Exchange, 268-278 High Holborn, are open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10.00 and 4.00.  If any kind rootschatter visits this area I would be really grateful if they could check these for me.
