Hi there,
i have found the marriage and its the same detail as you gave me but no mention of a father for either as these records dont give that info. I did however find two moses maddocks on the baptism register.
Maddock Moses baptised 28 july 1846 age 2 address kings head maesteg parents are Moses and Mary.
Maddock moses baptised 21 oct 1875 age n/a address kings head maesteg parents are William and Elizabeth.
Also a burial for a moses Maddock: 01 march 1880 address Kings head maesteg age72.

Could not find any more detail than that but there are a lot of Mary Morgans listed from Llangynwyd so if you know a rough date of birth i will look for her as her marriage detail says she is from Llangynwyd.

Ah thats my married name. I from Wick but up in Scotland for a while for my Husbands work. The only way really to get the fathers name is through a baptism. If you have a rough date of birth i will have a look for you.

Sorry to butt in badgirl, but on Glam marriages and there is a very likely marriage:

John Maddock to Jennet Fisher in Llangynwyd on 3 Dec 1791. 

on the 1841 census Moses first daughter is named Jennet.  John snr is also on the 1841 (no wife jennet, poss died) another son of same John names a daughter Jennet.  This is just a hunch?

Moses marriage has Mary in same parish. on 1841 she is born out of county

I think i may have found why Jennet disappeared! She has an illegitimate son Called Aaron whilst living at the Kings head. Mary also has an illegitimate child but a few years later. I have Mary as being from Llangynwyd too! I wonder if she just lived there or was born there. I have a baptism for june 1813 with father as John but i cant guarantee its her.


Getting confused with jennets here! I meant Moses' daughter in case i sounded insane!
