Any Ideas as to date and Age please

I'm not so sure she does look lovely, she looks a bit of a battleaxe to me!

She started out in service being a wet nurse, progressed through lady's maid to cook, so she is quite Mrs Bridge-ish isn't she    I wish she'd tell me who her mother is

Actually, now that I've had more of a good look at this photo, I'm thiniking of a date later than I first thought (sorry, Sharon  ).  Maybe as late as 1905-ish, and probably no earlier than about 1895.  I'm working on the puffy shoulders, which came into fashion around 1895 - they got huge later on, but an older lady might have kept wearing them even though they weren't the height of fashion at the time.

So, born 1845, photo taken maybe 1900-1910...that puts her in the 55-65 age group.  I'd go for the younger end of that range.

Thank you Prue, yes that does fit in with what I know.  I did order a death certificate for 1908 but I believe it was the wrong one, I'll have to look later which surprises me.

Yes Annie, I believe that to be her, and again in 1871 she was a servant in Wavertree, transcribed as Rent.
