« on: Wednesday 22 March 06 19:02 GMT (UK) »
hello I am trying to locate a george ridsdale who is head of household around the thirsk or helmsley area of yorkshire.  I know he had a son called john whom was born about 1830.  I am hoping at 1851 he will still be at home.  Hope you can help.

Thanks

thanks for this help, that is great.  Do you know of anyone whom has access to the 1841 census for this area.  Im sure son John would be living with father george in 1841.

Thanks again

sorry can't help there- I've just been browsing the posts.
Perhaps after all this input you would be better off doing another post for 1841 (sometimes they get ignored when there are a lot of replies).
Best wishes
