The Hall, Bushey
« on: Thursday 23 March 06 18:06 GMT (UK) »
I have a relative (Robert Watson Surtees) residing as a boarder at "The Hall" Bushey in the 1891 census. Does anyone know what this place was? There are many other boarders also and, looking at their occupations they do't appear to have been short a bob or two.

;D Thanks Patricia, I must try that googley thing myself sometime. The fact it was some form of Victorian health spa is most interesting, particulary as Robert lost his son in 1888 and wife in 1890.

It looked like a nice building pity it has been demolished.

Thanks again. ;)
