Hi Melm

You don't say where you found them living in 1881?  I found this:

Death

Charles Henry WRIGHT

Birthdate abt 1858

Dec 1889

Goole Vol 9c  Page  495

Goole doesn't seem the most likely registration district for Barton, however?  There are various Sarah Ann WRIGHT deaths including a likely looking one in Caistor (March q 1881)  When was their last child born?

Will double-check the census.

kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Alternatively there is the marriage of SAW to Harry PAULSON in 1882 - she is found with a new family of 5 daughters and her hubby and mother Esther WRIGHT in Dunston. RG12/2588/115/22.

Do you know whether either of them made it to 1901?

There is a married Sarah Ann visiting in Caistor: she was born 1866 in Ludborough - so prob not her.

There don't seem to be any likely Charles.

They do appear to alive and kicking in 1901, though

Hi Arranroots,
Thanks for your time and effort, I'm sorry if I didn't provide enough info. so let me correct that and it may help.
Charles Henry Wright, son of Ann Wright (widow by 1891) born  Boston 1858 married Sarah Ann Doughty, (daughter of William and Emma Doughty) in 1889.
By 1891 they had 2 daughters Mary Ellen and Edith who I have found staying at the Doughtys in Barton and I have also realized that their mother Sarah Ann is with them, so it is only Charles Henry Wright we are looking for. I don't believe he would have strayed out of Lincs. In the 1901 census they are all together in Barton St. Mary along with more family. Hope this will help in the search.
Very Kind Regards,
Mel   ;)

"There don't seem to be any likely Charles"

I've had a look around as well  and can't spot him either. Thought he might be in hospital under initials but no luck!
