Hello again

I have been looking at the work David did for you (seems to have been some duplication going on!) and in 1861 Daniel says he was born in Llanboidy.

Which doesn't help, cos I can't see him born in either place!  Why do you think they are in Llangynin for the 1851 census?

Do you know what the father's occupation was, maybe from a marriage cert? I think we might need to know, in order to narrow down the choices.

There is a possible in Cenarth, born Cenarth and several others who are not living at home, but servants elsewhere.

;)

Hi again Gpaul

Not too optimistic - couldn't be sure yesterday, but will have another look.  Bear in mind that 7 years elapse between the census and the marriage, during which time a labourer would move around wherever the work was.  So he could be anywhere...

I have checked for Daniel Griffiths Father David in 1841 in Carms cant find him and cant find them in 1851 either.Have looked around and noticed the 1871 census has Daniels birthplace as Pembroke while the others state Llanboidy?Sorry will look again but in 1841 would have expected Daniel to be with his father.Welsh Lady

Hi all,I think David Griffiths might have come from a different part of the country,as I cannot find him on any of the census for carmarthenshire,my cousin thinks he might have come from pembrokeshire, which has come a nightmare to look for him,as for Daniel he was born in trelech and not in llanboidy,on his death certificate it's stated he died 1900 aged 68,registration district narberth, but on the census for llanboidy he is down as born 1836.
