I only know of 3 great grandfathers, on account of illegitimacy, so can I list great grandmothers?

Elizabeth Lang, born about 1841, possibly Scottish, but I can find no definite details. She and great grandfather went to New Zealand in 1864, and she died in Christchurch in 1925.

Emma Ruth Staples, born in London in 1852, but the family were from Wiltshire, and went to New Zealand a few years later. Her father was a tailor. She died there in1901

Elizabeth Coultham, born 5th Aug 1844, in Petham Kent. Died in Nonington 16 Mar 1909.

Eliza Felton, born 1855 in Belchamp Walter, Essex. Died 1932 in Great Warley, Essex.
Pay, Kent
Codham/Coltham, Kent
Kent, Felton, Essex
Staples, Wiltshire

I have a feeling there's a "Great Grandmothers" thread, somewhere here, already  ;)
I live in Sydney, Australia, and I'm researching: Powell, Tatham, Dunbar, Dixon, Mackwood, Kinnear, Mitchell, Morgan, Delves, & Anderson

Stonechat, you got me thinking. 1900/1901?
Let me see....
one was in the Port Adelaide area running a pub, another was a captain of a ketch sailing up and down the South Australian coast and based in Portland (suburb of Adelaide), the third was a builder living in Victoria Park (another suburb), and the recently discovered fourth was somewhere in country SA (probably in or around Echunga) as a farm hand/stockman.

And I should have said that the one who was in Echunga was about to sign up for the Boer War.
I am Australian, from all the lands I come (my ancestors, at least!)

Pine/Pyne, Dowdeswell, Kempster, Sando/Sandoe/Sandow, Nancarrow, Hounslow, Youatt, Richardson, Jarmyn, Oxlade, Coad, Kelsey, Crampton, Lindner, Pittaway, and too many others to name.
Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Cornwall, Warwickshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire, Wilts, Germany, Sweden, and of course London, to name a few.
