1861 Census Reading or Windsor LEAVER
« on: Friday 08 October 04 22:18 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find a Mary Ann Leaver in the 1861 Census, she was born in December quarter of 1857 at Clewer, Windsor - her father was John Leaver - mother's name unknown as yet.

The only address I have is from 16 years later..............
At the time of her marriage in 1877 at The Parish church of St Giles, Reading, Berkshire.  Mary Ann Leaver was 21 - living at Katesgrove Lane, Reading - her father was a Labourer.  also at the wedding were Hannah R Leaver and
J. Leaver - so her mother could be Hannah.

many thanks to anybody that can help me.

Hello
I searched the Berkshire 1861 Census for you yesterday,
I searched all of Clewer Windsor Out Ward,
Clewer Windsor In Ward,
and Clewer.  There was only one Leaver!
RG0/761  Folio 28 page 9
James Leaver Boarder, Unm, 30, Cab Driver, b Oxfordshire lowerassane?
Richard Etherington,  Head, 43, Cab Proprietor b Middx London,

There is no index for the 1861.

Hello again,
Just a thought, you say that the last address you have for her is in 1877, do you not have the family for the 1871 census? I will pm you.

I found my way to Rootschat by accident while looking for the person I believe to be my great great grandmother .... a Mary Ann Leaver born in Clewer, Berkshire and much to my amazement found your posts here.

Since it is some time since you posted them I was wondering how your search went and if you found out any more about her.
