Bugg, Cousins, Ringwood/Ringard
« on: Sunday 10 October 04 10:48 BST (UK) »
Hallo
Can anyone help me knock down a few brick walls.
I am looking for the births or baptisms of the following:-

Lydia Cousins about 1756
Keymer Bugg about 1755
Elizabeth Ringwood, alias Ringard about 1744.

If anyone has come across them I would be eternally grateful to hear from them.

Sue.

Hey I'm researching my Cousins line, I don't suppose you have a possible list of villages Lydia could of been born in do you? So far I haven't come across her although I am only back to 1771 and have hit a brick wall. My John Cosins married Susannah Smith in Elmsett 1771 but he wasn't born there and didn't die there so I don't know where to go! There were no parents names on the marriage certificate either
Cousins (all variations) from Crowfield/Stonham Aspal/Elmsett/Pettaugh. Chapman from Worlingworth/Hornham/Dennington. Westrup from Bungay/Hales/Haddiscoe Sawyer from Woodbridge/Ipswich/Martlesham/Aldeburgh. Bruty from Clare

Hi
Lydia Cousins married Robert Chaplin of Otley in 1785 in Witnesham and seemed to have spent all their married life in Otley and Coddenham.  There is no record of a baptism for Lydia in Witnesham or several parishes around about.  According to her age at death it puts her birth year at about 1756.  There seems to be a lot of Cousins and Chaplins around the Elmsett, Whatfield area and I have always wondered if there was a connection there somewhere.
