Has anybody got ANY information on Richard Carter, born approx. 1778 in St Andrews, Hertford. I found his record on the IGI which states that he married a lady called Sarah and had the following children - Abraham (b.1804), Charles William (b.1806) who is my direct ancestor, Frederick (b.1807), Sidney (b.1810), Sarah (b.1812) and William (b.1813).
I really need to know about Richard i.e. any marriage or birth record. I did try to look him up at Hertford County Hall but the writing was really bad on the records and I didn't have time to order the original to look at.
If anybody can help me then I would be extremely grateful.
